Bill,

In case you do not have a schematic.  The line conductor going through the 
on/off
switch goes to the chassis.

This will not make the radio as safe as grounding the case with a 3 wire 
cord, but
will insure that the "hot" side of the AC line will not be on the chassis.

Hi Bill;

 No rewiring to use a polarized plug. Just be sure the wide pin goes to
the chassis. A 3-wire cord and plug is better but does require minor
rewiring.
