Well,
Dayton has come and gone with beautiful weather for Saturday.
I sat here looking at the blue sky knowing I could be there in less than an
hour and a half.
I have been a ham for over 44 years (first licensed in April or May of 61)
but have yet to make Dayton or the Findlay swaps.
OTOH I knew if I went I'd probably buy something expensive and I'd never be
able to look at all the hallicrafters gear without bringing home something.
So, I stayed home.
I hope those who went had a good time.
BTW, I am reorganizing my shop and moving the hallicrafters station a desk
which will get it off the work bench, freeing up a *lot* of work bench
space. Still, that required moving the entire work bench complete with
HT-32, SX-101, HT-33B, SX-100 and a whole lot of tools on top.
Not being able to lift much weight without having to pay dearly and having a
natural tendency to be lazy I cheated. I jacked up the top of the work
bench, put roller under it (the type used for the work with table saws) slid
the top over, and then moved the drawer pedestals. It took just over an
hour and I didn't have to lift more than 20#. I will say it looks strange
with the space for the desk not being filled yet.
