[Hallicrafters] HT-32 audio status

I see all these references to HT-32 Audio. They sound just fine to me. It is
after all SSB. They are not AM rigs and shouldn't sound like one. Phasing
rigs like the HT-37 do have a bit more pleasing audio, but I like the 32
just the way it is.
Todays solid state, megabuck rigs have just as sharp an audio curve although
some may add highs or lows, but the contesters not only leave the audio
narrow, they clip and compress.
I normally run about 20 db of compression, but with my voice characteristics
it's an improvement. I'm one of the few who had to turn the gain down when
they went to 1500 watts PEP out as I used to hit over 2200 PEP out with a KW
average input and no compression.
