KG4KZG tried at three different times to make contact with you Bill, but he
heard no reply. It was this station in southern FL that acknowledged you first.
Your antenna favors north/south so it is not surprising you were hearing the far
south stations. But Dale had no success with a beam aimed your way and an amp
helping the cause.
If you are doing a quick call and then leaving Bill, (or whomever), try sticking
around for a half hour. The band conditions are changing quickly and often. So
stick around after you call and get no reply, get checked in and do not hear
your station called for your turn etc. We always call a station three times, so
if you leave quickly, you may deprive yourself of a turn and it also causes
additional work for those who are calling stations who have left.
Now Bill normally does wait, but some of you do not. When band conditions are as
they have been in recent months, all of us must practice extra patience.
It is just as frustrating for you trying to check in as it is for me trying to
hear you!

I would have loved to hear history live, but band conditions were/are
terrible. Could only hear a few stations from down south.
Oh well, another day, another net.
