I recently picked up a nice condition HT-32B I've been recapping and
cleaning up. When I pulled the finals, one was a 6146, the other a
6146B. I have quite a few matched pairs of 6146B's. My B&W-5100B likes
them. Very interested in the response to your query.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Use of 6146B tubes in the HT37
Howdy Hallicrafters:
I have heard or read about being very careful when contemplating
substituting 6146B's for older plain 6146's. The 6146B's produce more
output but supposedly draw substantially more current.
Is this correct and should I just stick with plain 6146's...if I can
find
them:-)
Have just gotten an HT37, thus, the reason for my question.
