The 5881 is a 6L6. Many of the 5881's are dually marked as 5881 and 6L6WGB.

Also the 6L6GC has a higher voltage rating than the straight 6L6 and the 
6L6GB. The "GB" and standard (black metal) are rated at 360 and 375 
volts max respectively where the "GC" is 500 volts max. Don't try to use 
a standard  6L6 where it calls for a 6L6GC.
