must be careful here, definitely.
The great majority are being imported and used in guitar amps.  
Even certain guitar amps have a problem with them if they run high plate
voltages. [for the guitarists, it's the Fender Deluxe Reverb that you
have to be careful with].  I can't remember off the top of my head, but
I'm thinking a B+ of 450 or more.  If anyone's interested, I can find
the specific info.

Electro Harmonix has purchased the rights to two popular brand names,
which escape me now (Mullard?) and will be branding new tubes.


Your best bet in 6V6es is NOS, unless your BA doesn't overstress the
tubes.
