Hi Bob,
Try carefully cleaning the bandswitch with a drop of DeOxit on each
section. Wiggle it a bit when the problem occurs, see if that helps.
Tho' it could be a mixer or band oscillator, 80 & 20 both use the 9 & 5 mc
sigs only, IIRC.
