[Hallicrafters] Backward caps

Some years ago, I found it very amusing to wire a 470 uF, 16 VDC capacitor across the motor in an unsuspecting victim's electric pencil sharpener, and aimed at the shavings drawer. Usually, when the cap exploded on the poor victim, the drawer that caught the shavings would blow out and dump the mess on his/her desk [we were always equal opportunity annoyers]. There is an unbelievable amount of insulation and foil in those little cans. 73.

Early Panasonic CCTV cameras, subjected to 220vac (electrictians who tried
to split 220 feeds), were quite a splendid show, as well. A JC Penny store
had 30 cameras, which went simultaneously - sounded like a small firefight -
after I crawled out from under a table (old memories of RVN), there was all
this thin cardboard and tinfoil, fluttering down.
