[Hallicrafters] Strange S-38

Paul,
It wouldnt be a resprayed Trio 7R-4J or Lafayette HE-10 would it?
It has the Hallicrafters Co printed on the set?
These particular sets look very similar, and of course it would be worth
much more if it had a Hallicrafters badge on it.

I have a Japanese made Trio JR-60 that's got a badge engineered Lafayette
equivalent called a "HE-80".
This sort of thing went on back in those days as well!
Theres also a Jap equivalents (or copies) for the S-119 = Star SR100 and
S-120 = Star S150 etc. What sacrelige!
