[Hallicrafters] Auction Scene

I was recently watching a pair of BC611s auctioned on eBay exceed $1000 US.
They were untested, unrestored and the seller knew very little about them.
I saw a Hallicrafters (SX-28??) that looked like it had been dredged out of
a lake fetch $600 US, I don't think it even lit up .... are these real
prices or have these particular buyers just not had their lithium lately?

Regards
Peter
