Hi Duane:
Thanks for this excellent reminder. As I am a new user, I am a little
confused as to how to use the responses that come into my e-mail
account. I am glad you posted this...
Also, I need to ask what HOME, HELP and POST really do? These are at
the bottom of all e-mails? Which one is the link back to the Forum? Is
it HOME?
Thanks... This is sure a great group.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] All Subscribers, Your Attention Please
I would like to ask each of you to help better share your answers to
questions
of general, or specific, interest with all members of this list. A great
deal of
valuable information is never seen on the Hallicrafters list because it
is sent
direct to another person. When this is done other subscribers are not
able to
read this material, should it be of interest to them, as well as the
information
never gets into the list archives where future interested persons can
search for
answers.
When you reply to a personal type of issue, it is fine to send it using
the CTRL
R 'reply to sender' function.
If the reply is one that could be of interest to many list subscribers,
then
please use the SHIFT+CTRL+R 'reply to all' function. This will send your
response to the original sender and also to the Hallicrafters list.
Many of us use CTRL R out of habit and never give what we are doing a
millisecond of forethought. Please make more of a conscious effort to
share your
excellent bits of wisdom and terrific technical tips with everyone on
this list.
If they do not wish to read it, they may simply press the delete key and
move
along.
I know that many of you have tremendous technical skills, some the
world's
largest parts junkbox and others manuals to spare. Others have a wealth
of
historical data to impart, some possess 'how to' talents and are willing
to
share them, still others can tell you where to call by phone - write by
postal
address - or provide a link to click with the mouse to find just about
anything
your wallet can afford or your mind can imagine!
So please, let's all try harder to share our wealth of collective wisdom
and
experience that exists on this fantastic list among some pretty
incredible
mortals. Thank you for your efforts, your willingness to try harder and
your
hobbyist kinship which is beyond any monetary price tag.
