Does anyone know of a source or have an "extra" plug (female) for
the end of an electrical power cord. It is round, 2 terminal, and
about 1 1/4 in. in diameter and plugs into the power input for a
Hallicrafters DD-1. The last fellow soldered the cord to the two male
prongs (ugh).
Skip,
Did you find this item? If not, I think I have what you need. It's the same
size and configuration as an octal plug or socket with a metal cap, but is
actually a standard 2 pin female AC connector. Some General Radio test
equipment used them. It is not polarized, that is, both slots are the same size. If
it sounds like this is what you need and you still need it, send me your
address and I'll put it in the mail. No charge.

Doug Moore
