[Hallicrafters] SX-100 assistance requested/needed

Hi Group,
    I have been trying to get a SX-100 up and running.  Bands 1 & 4 
operate alright, the problem is in bands 2 & 3.  The problem seems to 
be in the oscillator section but the trouble has been eluding me (and 
Gerry Steffens who has been elmering the troubleshooting - and I am 
very appreciative of his help).
    Has anyone had a similar problem in a 100 (or 101), e.g. certain 
bands inop?  In particular, there are several ceramic "dog-bone" 
capacitors in the oscillator section.  What has been the experience of 
any failures (probably open failures) of these types of capacitors?
