I have not found a font that accurately reproduces Hallicrafters factory
silk screened fonts, and have searched rather extensively.
What I may try is working with is a scan I made of portions my SX-43
front panel. This I can print to clear hobby decal paper in the correct
shade of light green. I'm thinking I can redo the remaining lettering
using a Windows font that is close even if not exact, as long as the
lettering matches. Red is not a problem with the decal process, white
involves more work with one of those "white decal powder" kits, since my
inkjet printer doesn't do white.
The obviousness of decals hopefully can be lessened with very careful
trimming and application of a clearcoat overspray to the entire panel,
with a very light abrasive following to reduce glare of the clearcoat to
a matte finish. This is a possible plan, anyway.
If it doesn't work out I'll either resume my learning curve in
silkscreening or look for someone else who has a screen already for the
SX-43 and can do the work. Silkscreening is fun, I've created a small
screen for the Hallicrafters "h" round emblem. A large screen setup
suitable for a full front panel is going to take a much greater
materials investment and a lot of trial and error time. It's a still to
be explored part of this wonderful hobby for me.

On many Hallicrafters receivers (SX-25, SX-111, SX-42, SX-100 etc) the
words "the hallicrafters co." is printed on the front panel in either
white or light green. Does any one know what font they used? It is
similar to Arial narrow bold, but different in some letters. Is it a
font that is available?
