[Hallicrafters] bad caps

Any cap that is now 50+ years old gets cut out and replaced regardless of 
brand, type, etc. The only exceptions are electrolytics that don't cause hum or 
heat up, caps in tuned circuits, and disc or button type ceramics. Anything 
otherwise hits the dumpster ASAP!!  In fact, when I acquire a new (to me) tube 
set I automatically replace all the old caps right off the bat without even 
turning the set on first. Why waste time  troubleshooting when it is likely that 
replacing all the caps is going to resolve any problem anyway ?  I'am just 
super careful making sure everything goes back in the right spots AND I have a 
schematic /manual available. Never ever had a problem doing it this way.
