[Hallicrafters] When do you replace tubes?

You articulated this better than I did........
Recently, the audio died in my R-390A.  The CV-591 still produced output, so
the problem was in the R-390A audio chain.
I was expecting capacitor failure and proceed to test accordingly.  It was a
simple (and rare) tube failure.......
