"Gimmick" capacitor

Well, it was actually a capacitor rather than an inductor.  In order for
there to be much inductive coupling, you would need four connections.  If
you have a decent capacitance meter, just twist an inch or so of two
insulated wires together and connect one end of each wire to the meter.  It
will typically measure between 1 - 3 pF
