[Hallicrafters] Saying Thanks Is Great, But It Won't Pay The Rent

As one subscriber just learned about his S-40, he got a lot of help and his
questions answered. Saying thank you is always good, but for those who do not
know, these lists do not run on verbal gratitude, it takes cash.

If you have not made a donation this year, consider doing so now. The amount?
Every dollar helps. Twenty dollars is the suggested amount, but if all you can
afford is two dollars that is perfectly fine.

I know of many who use these lists on a regular basis for technical assistance
and to sell their fixed up radios for profit. They advertise here for free, pay
no charges for an item that sells and pocket 100% of what they get and never
donate a penny to Al Waller, K3TKJ to help keep these wonderful lists operating.
Then they say to me "I wish I could donate something, I think about doing it,
but I just never have any extra money." Seems odd, being as they just sold a
radio for profit! Couldn't they have sent Al five dollars then? Sure they could
have, but they are too selfish to do that. So clean up your act and send Al a
few dollars! If we don't, one day the lists will go away. Then what? I do not
believe there is anyplace else you can get all the help, friendship, parts you
need, sell items you want to sell, find resources for about everything ever made
and more on a scale that comes even remotely clsoe to what QTH.NET/QSL.NET
offers us.

If you can help, please do so. it is an investment that will pay you dividends
far in excess of what it costs you! An investment in yourself, for your boat
anchor future.
