Congratulations, the HT-37 is a great transmitter. Depending on its
condition, it may work with minimal restoration. I have an HT-37 I use all
the time and it is basically my primary transmitter.
The matching receiver is the SX-111 and is also a great receiver and works
exceptionally well on SSB. However, it is important you obtain an SX-111
with the product detector. I believe there is a 13 tube and a 14 tube
version. The 14 tube is the one with the product detector.
The SX-111 will drift on receiver but after the first 1/2 hour, mine is
pretty stable. You will find the same "problem" with the HT-37.
Good luck with this combination. BTW, the matching speaker is the R-48.
You may want to complement your station with the speaker also.
