This tale brought to mind a story from old Brooklyn, N.Y. in the 1920s.
My grandfather was a doctor and many of his patients could not pay cash
for treatment but many offered some service. One such patient was in the
chrome plating business and he offered to chrome plate anything the
doctor wanted. Sooo, my grandfather gave him the silver service and he
chrome plated it. My grandmother went wild when she found out what he
had done.

Now to answer your question, where to get the silver replated, take it
to a bumper re chrome shop.
