Hello,

I recently purched an R-44 Reproducer.
The former owner, added a (ON/OFF) switch, where the "H" logo is suppose to go and painted the whold thing a flat black out of a can.

Looking at Chuck Dachis's hallicrafters book, he shows a picture of the R-44. However, I cannot make out the lettering or colors in his picture.

Is it possible for someone to tell me what the color of the lettering, what the labels say and where it is located. I'm assuming light green and white, but not sure. Additionally, what is the color of the cabinet and speaker grill? The picture shows two colors.

A Pic would be great, however, a description would alwo work.

It has a transformer in it that I think is a power transformer. It is engraved in a box SNC (Sancor?) and 6P736. It was not hooked up, it was wired directly to the speaker for an 8 ohm speaker. One side of the transformer has 3 wires, two and a center tap. the other side has 6 wires. Multiple taps for filiments etc? any help identifing this transformer would be great.

It there any such thing as a manual for this speaker?

Thank you in advance.

Best,
