Hi Al --

1 -- Already tried this and it won't work.   The VFO hits the stops
and the calibrator isn't zero beat yet;  it's pitch is still pretty
high.  There isn't enough play in the pointer adjust to do what you
suggest, unless I'm missing your point.


2 -- OK, that's what I was wondering about.  You clarified it by their
assumption that the span hasn't changed therefore you can twiddle the
slug.    I want to change the span and expect to change a trimmer,
thus I didn't understand about the slug.  You filled in the missing
piece -- their assumption.

Already was in contact with Ray yesterday about the ER issues.  My
101A has not been recapped, and it still performs superbly.  I look
forward to see how it will work when recapped !!
