[Hallicrafters] Join Saturday HCI Net And Welcome What's New

Please take a few minutes on Saturday December 31, 2005 to tune in, or check 
into, the last HCI 40 meter Net for 2005. Many things will change during 
2006, including a new NCS or rotating NCS stations.

A for-sale-trade segment will be added as a weekly feature. You may 
advertise your 'personal' vintage electronic equipment for-sale or trade. 
This segment will air at 1:30 PM EST, 1830 UTC). It will be limited to ten 
minutes. You may advertise them yourself or send an e-mail to me and I will 
deliver it to whomever the NCS station for that week is.

HCI will sponsor two vintage radio competitions during the year. Prizes and 
certificates will be awarded. They will 'NOT' be done as a so called 
"contest"! They will be held over a one, possibly two, week time period. 
Details announced in January.

There will be three releases of special CD sets containing rare live audio 
of historic people, presentations/speeches by people who paved the road for 
Ham Radio, hundreds of pages of never before publically released text, rare 
QSL card images, original letters from famous Hams, personal photos you will 
not want to miss and much much more! Details will be found on the HCI web 
site on January 22, 2006!

The pre-Net will commence at 12:30 PM EST, 1730 UTC, and the Net proper at 
1:00 PM EST, 1800 UTC. The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key 
clicks, mike splatter and 'splatter chatter' from these modern rigs with 
filters as loose as a Dallas Duck with bowed legs and double a jointed beak!

So tune in and turn on those wonders that still go glow in the dark of night 
and the light of day and let's play some vintage Hallicrafters radio!
