[Hallicrafters] Rubber Feet

I'm assuming the square feet for the HT-32/37 are the same or similar to those on the SX-42's and other Hallicrafters or maybe close enough in design. I think even the SX-28's have them.

If so, it shouldn't be too difficult to carve new ones out of scrap rubber -- possibly cut from an old tire or whatever. First cut the rectangle, then bevel the outside edges. The tougher part is to carve out the hollow where the rectangular "washer" goes.

Another approach would be to mold them out of some liquid rubber product -- such as the stuff you dip tool handles into to give them red or black grips, or maybe even Permatex.

Never done it - just hoping to provoke someone else into going first ;-)

Thanks for the information. There are a couple of big Ace Hardware stores
not too far from me. I will check.

I was really looking for exact reproductions rather than just replacements.
Maybe I will check into seeing if there is some way to get them made at a
reasonable cost.

Has anyone ever had any reproduction made of the square rubber feet for the
HT-32/37?
