I have a house full of those fluorescent replacement things and I don't get
hash from any of them.  The big noisemaker in this house is my monitor - 10
over 9 every 45, 50, 60 or so KHz across the band, depending upon which
computer I have selected on the KVM switch.  Number two and three are the
basement and bathroom tube-style fluorescents.  My next-door neighbor's
cable modem plays havoc with the RME in the bedroom, but I only listen to
that one with an earphone after the XYL begins to snore!  No, the modem is
louder.
