Howdy Gang,
Some time back, there was a thread being discussed, re. the AVC voltage in
an SX-191 & it's effect on the "S" meter zero. Measured on Pin 8 of the
6BJ7, book says it's supposed to be about -2vdc, but a friend has one that
measures -.5vdc, with the old "S" meter that won't zero on AM, and the
accompanying propensity for overload on strong signals, due to lack of AVC
control voltage... It was measured using the procedure...you know... short
the antenna, blah, blah... This receiver may be heading my way, but trying
to help the guy out first. He measured the resistor in the circuit, and
replaced caps in appropriate places... anybody got any ideas?
