[Hallicrafters] Opinions on the SX-110

This might throw a couple of you, I'm  39 "young" guy and I'm pretty 
much interested in operating late 30's to mid 40's equipment only. I 
make my living on a computer an am surrounded by the latest junk our 
disposable culture has concocted and the last thing I want to do is come 
home and deal with more "hi-tech" crap in my freetime. For me it's great 
to grab a beer and be able to amble around through the bands on a 
"low-tech" reciever and listen to stuff from all over the world, 
spinning dials and twisting knobs just to get stuff really tunned in 
instead of wondering why it all doesn't sound as clear as a top 40 
station. I have an ART-13 transmitter that I'd love to get operational 
and be to operate as my primary transmitter.
