All that below sounds great Bill, but do they have a way to make white
letters? Black is easy based on your description, but the ability to
do white would be nice also.

I just purchased some clear transfer printer material from Beldecal.
Their system, seems pretty simple and interesting. I have (2) HT-32
panels that are in poor condition and I would like to bead blast them
to bare metal to refinish them but I have hesitated to do this since I
could not duplicate (with dry transfer methods), the Hallicrafters
Logo and the Hallicrafters type face.
As I understand the system, I will take a high resolution image of the
logo and type face as found on the HT-32 front panel. I will then
take that image and manipulate it in the computer. Clearing up
defects and sizing.
When sized properly, I will then print it out (ink jet printer) on
this decal paper. Let it dry.
According to the instructions, I will then spray the printout with a
common Krylon type of clear lacquer and let dry for about 1 hour for
protection. I then cut the print from the sheet and place it in
water. Let it loosen up and then transfer the decal to the panel.
Seems I used to do this building plastic model airplanes.
If this works, I will let you guys know.
