[Hallicrafters] Cooked something...

Again thanks for the help with my SX-16.

I've been following "Re: [Hallicrafters] Polyester or polypropylene?"
and I have a question, I want ot replace all the caps in the radio, not
just the ones that are/might be bad. Since I have a list of all the caps
used in the radio, can I just get assemble a "kit" of "Orange Drops" for
instance and do a wholesale replacement? I would say the radio is an
solid 8.5/10 and it's more important to me to have it working as best as
it can rather than parking it as a collectible.

Also in replacing the caps, I thought I could solder a new cap next
to/on top of the old one and then clip the old one out so I don't loose
my place while replacing the caps. Is this acceptable or is there a
better way?

I'm sure I'll find out this weekend. I really miss the SX-16, the S-22R
just ain't cuttin' it though it's nice to look at..
