Afternoon all...........
Just an FYI that a couple of us are in the process of having Phil Dannenberg of Heyboer Transformers come up with a price for a new power tranny that will fit the HT-32A (also fits the HT-32B and HT-37) transmitter. Heyboer's prices are traditionally lower than their competitors but the quality is equal or better. I know this from past dealings with them.
The specs for the this replacement transformer are upgraded to include a 3" lamination stack instead of the original 2" stack. One of the infamous problems with this particular tranny was overheating and, over time, developing a filament-to-HV-secondary "short". With the 3" iron stack and using modern construction materials, this problem goes away.
If you are interested in having Phil make one of these for you too, please contact him direct by email at htovvp at novagate.net. The more of us that order, the better price we all get! 73, Bill, wd0x
