[Hallicrafters] Wrinkle paint is available

Those looking for black wrinkle finish black paint
will find it at CarQuest auto stores.  It is
Plasti-Kote stock number PLA-217.  I paid $6.59 per
can for it.

Better get 2 cans, just in case... I really didn't
need it; but if you are painting something large, you
well may. I used it to paint the rack-mount dust cover
for my SX-28.

The instructions call for three heavy coats, ten
minutes apart.

Wrinkling appears within 2 hours under natural
evaporation; but the instructions say it can be
accelerated using a hair dryer.  I used a heat gun and
it worked beautifully.

I don't know if other colors may be available.  Would
be nice to find gray.
