Not all resistors are 20% tolerance. In fact, I believe I have seen more
10% in the radios I have worked on. If the fourth color is gold, the
tolerance is 5%. If it is silver, it is 10%. If no fourth color, it is
20%. There are also 1% and 2% resistors used; mostly in metering
circuits. These usually have the tolerance printed on them.
