[Hallicrafters] off topic HRO-60 coils

This is what I have found so far. I peaked the front coils in the GC mode
and improved the sensitivity about 50% but it is still low. The BC mode is
still dead! I checked the coils on 4 cans and they all conduct ok. I taking
a break for now. I will check to see if any trimmers are touching on Tues.
There is a strange thing happening, I wonder if anyone has any idea why,
when I put my hand near the 6BE6 behind the tuning condensers the gain goes
up to almost normal. If I put the output lead from my signal gen near that
same tube the S-meter reading is much higher that through the ant connector?
Very strange! Especially about my hand? thanks Dan
