[Hallicrafters] RE:SX 28 selectivity

I just completed a complete overhaul of a SX 28.When properly aligned,the selectivity control positions should show a pronounced difference in signal level as indicated on the "S" meter. Xformers  T1,T2 and T5 and T6 should show a decided peak at 455khz..If not the fixed internal mica caps in T1((103,C104) and T2(C106,C107) and T5(112) and the air trimmers in T5 (110,C11) may be defective..I had to replace the primary cap in T1 and the secondary cap in T2.This requires the removal of the cans from the transformers..Removing them from the radio is not necessary.
