Please join us on Sunday October 24th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 20 meter Net. Because October 31st is Halloween and it is the
official Magician's Holiday, (not a trick, truth), and because I am this world's
only known totally blind professional Magician/Illusionist, I am going to treat
all who check in tomorrow with a magical memento. Sorry no baked Rabbit, Dove on
a shishkebab, deep fried Frog legs or Elephant pudding pies! But all who check
in will receive a special video shot live and aired by NBC and PBS, an enchanted
four page photo brochure and a full color autographed photo using Laser lights
provided by the Robert T. Longway planetarium for the out of this world PR shot.
If your mailing address is not good in QRZ.COM, please send it to me in an
e-mail or by regular mail.
The pre-Net portion will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC). The Net proper
will begin at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). I will be on the air at about 12:20 PM
EDT, (1620 UTC), taming the wild electrons, throttling back the overly excited
gerbils who accidentally got a double dose of their special metabolic boosting
prune extract tablets and pulverizing pesky cumulous clouds who need to take a
bath with my grandson's new pulsar cannon! So if you just can't wait to key that
HT-37, join me early.
The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
sizzling sound of scorched strata nimbus stragglers who spent too much time
sipping from the sea and got black dust particulate blotches when a solar flare
toasted them like a bread crust that got stuck in the toaster! Just the same,
check those electrolytic to be sure that pungent aroma coming from the SB-220 is
a baked bug and not roasting resistors!
I could really use some help Sunday with relay work, so if you can help, please
show up early.
I am looking forward to hearing many of you tomorrow so show up for your treat,
as next Sunday it is my holiday and you can count on the Net being loaded with
vintage ghosts, grumbling gremlins awakened from slumbering in an old Zenith
console stashed in an attic, grinning gourds oozing stuff that didn't leak out
of a black beauty and greedy goblins grabbing children's sacks of candy like
Hams plundering the door prize goodie bags at a Ham fest! Not to worry though,
as the old blind Magician will surely have a few tricks up his sleeves for some
Halloween spoofs too!
