[Hallicrafters] Power cord safety, renewing front panel markings

I have an S40B, with original power cord setup, is there a way to connect a 
3 prong plug to prevent shock hazards? Also the unit has a lot of wear on 
the front panel markers (ie Bandspread, sensitivity etc.), is there any way 
to replace them or re letter them? Thanks. Paul  VE6RTR
