Hi Guys;

I am having trouble calibrating band 5 of subject. The other bands
calibrated OK. The problem is the low end won't come on frequency. With
the dial set to 27 mc and the osc coil slug all the way in the coil, the
injection frequency is about 33 mc. Should be 37.7 mc (I am measuring the
injection frequency as I go) . Backing the slug out 2 or 3 turns causes
the osc to stop around 34.5 mc. adjusting the tuning cap to a higher
frequency will cause it to osc at 37.7 mc but the dial reads around 30
mc. instead of 27 mc. I have removed the trimmer cap across the coil with
small improvement. There is no other capacitors across the coil but the
tuning caps. All of the other components in the circuit are used on other
bands that calibrate OK. Nothing will make it oscillate at 37.7 mc with
the dial set to 27 mc. I have made all the visual and ohmmeter checks and
everything checks out. It just is stubborn and won't oscillate at the low
end. Any suggestions please ? Thank you.
