[Hallicrafters] SX-100 and the SX-101CMKIIIA

I have a theory on this. If you read about the SX series of receivers,
it originally meant a Crystal Filter was included. Without the crystal
filter, the receiver had the "S" designation only.

If you continue to read about the newer receivers, they have either a
crystal filter or a CRYSTAL CALIBRATOR. For instance, the SX-111 has a
crystal calibrator as does the SX-104, the SX-99, the SX-100.

Conversely, the S-118 does not, the S-108 does not, the S-107 does not,
etc. My conclusion is, the "X" apparently evolved to mean either a
crystal filter or a crystal calibrator. It seems to fit the data.

I also never understood why they called the SX-101
in any of its versions a "SX" I thought the "SX"
signified a crystal filter, which the 101most certainly
does not have.
