Looks like that applies to the SX-104 and SX-105 also. I don't think they
have a crystal filter either. An interesting thing in Chuck Dachis book
re the SX-104; the text says the mode is AM but it has a ratio detector.
I know from experience that the frequencies covered by these two radios
(land mobile: Police, Fire, Business, etc.) use FM.
