You know Philip, I came across the same tunining issue with my SX-42. Even
though the gear mechanism operates very smooth, the flywheel (installed with
thrust washers on the shaft) only moves when you physically turn it (with
effort) holding the tuning shaft. (???)
My wife wonders why I have so many of these classic radios anyway- its all
good!
