Congratulations Mark!
The SX-25 was my first receiver and I still own the 'ol girl. Although
I own several, my original still keeps 80 Meter CW alive in the Wisconsin
Northwoods nightly.
Under the specter of pocket calculators and digital gadgetry much of
America has lost the ability to interpolate like we did on the old radio
dials and slide rules. But to locate the position of the MAIN TUNING dial's
red marks indicating where to set the MAIN TUNING dial for use of the
BANDSPREAD, it is necessary to calibrate your eyeballs:
Using the topmost scale ("Logging Scale") on the MAIN TUNING DIAL,
divide each indice into tenths and here is where the red marks would go:
40 M - 56.1
10 M - 32.8
80 M - 22.8
20 M - 10.5
Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy!
My best,
Vern Weiss, W9STB

P.S. Be watching for my article in Electric Radio on refurbishing
SX-25s.
