[Hallicrafters] SX-62 Questions

I have my 3rd SX-62 in a lifetime and it is the only one to arrive with
everything not 100%. Maybe someone can help with some suggestions.
The FM broadcast band RF wise is ok because I can tune stations in the AM
mode but nothing at all when switched to FM. I changed out the 6H6, no
help.
The second and most annoying problem is moderate to strong stations are
distorted unless the sensitivity control is backed down. Does the 62
have any AGC? I don't see an AGC detector on the schematic and it acts
like I've seen other radios do when the AGC is switched off. Also when I
back it off, it appears that I have much less audio from the pair of
6V6s, so I'm not sure if there is a problem also in the audio stages.
Those of you out there that have some experience with the 42 and /or 62
that could steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it very
much. This one is very nice mechanically and cosmetically so I'd like to
get it up to snuff electrically. Thanks for any and all help.
