Aquestion was asked about SX-96 glass and it spurred me to do some research
on the Hallicrafters line. I have a SX 100 coming so I found the SX 100
review in the December 1955 QST. It seems that the first receiver with the
filter and conversion technique was the S-76 and the T notch filter was in
the SX-88 (noted in the review).

I then read some ad copy (those great one pagers) from Hallicrafters in QST
and it was noted that the T notch filter causes the signal to extend one way
and takes some getting use to as with the SX-88 and SX-96. The SX 100 is an
improved SX-96 and the front and glass are almost the same. Further it was
noted that the Sx 101 is an improved SX 100 without the general coverage.
