Hi all,
  My favorite tool is the phenolic flexiclamp available from
http://www.micro-tools.com/Merchant2/flexi.htm.  The phenolic type (scroll
down past the copper ones) won't scratch and you still get more than enough
torque.  They are about $12.00 so not cheap.  Just get the size you need.
Unless you are in a production mode, they will last and do a great job.
