In their wildest dreams, only  :-)  Unfortunately the SX-115 does not have 
passband tuning.  It's possible of course to shift the BFO frequency and 
retune manually, but there is no passband tuning control as such.

I've never owned an SX-117, so I can't compare the two.  The SX-115 is 
a fine receiver .. arguably (obviously) the best ham band receiver built by 
Hallicrafters.  I do really dislike the approach Halli took in the SX-101A 
and SX-115 regarding sideband selection for AM, but even with that it's 
the one BA in the shack that is almost never turned off.
