OK, so there is little hope of the BC-AM receiver functioning
as well as past designs, what are the creative alternatives
to make the best of it?
1. Add a pre-amp with a switch? (Might this also add to
the already loud engine QRM & QRN?)
2. Lengthen the antenna with a longer whip?
3. Add a coil at the base to electrically lengthen the
whip without adding excessive height?
4. Forget the BC-AM receiver and install a shortwave
receiver or Ham rig with BC-AM coverage?
Thanks! doc
