I visit my local Barnes & Noble book store as is my monthly custom after 
pay day. I found two interesting publications that might be of interest 
to various members. First is the May issue of Monitoring Times which had 
two particularly interesting articles. One entitled "Dave Boyd 
Bcyclenomad"  is the cover story subtitled Hamming Across America. It is 
about a fellow who took a prolonged bicycle trip across the country with 
ham equipment. I also found "Turning Back the Communications Clock: 
Vintage Ham Radio Operating" interesting.
I also picked up World Tube Directory 2004. Now I am legendary for lack 
of ability to solder but I can change a tube. It has lots and lots of 
sources for tubes, caps,  resistors etc. Might prove to be worth its 
eight buck cost. Thought some folks might be interested.
