[Hallicrafters] My response to the BPL article

With all due respect to Pete, any group that has tried to fight for Ham radio in
the past has been viewed as a threat by the ARRL and they spent our subscription
and membership fees to kill off any competition.

There is a list allocated by Alan Waller, K3TKJ for these kinds of discussions,
perhaps we should move it over there?

I guess you haven't checked recently into all the ARRL activity going on
to fight the BPL controversy. QST subscriptions, along with other sales
activities, help generate revenue to help keep the work the ARRL does for
the amateur service alive and moving forward. Even though the ARRL cannot
do "formal lobbying", without them the amateur service would be in a lot
worse shape. Who would you suggest, that could take their place, to
continue to fight for our interests?
