Hello All,
Some really great responses to the Wall Street Journal article.
Just remember the giant "black out" that caused such a huge area of
electrical outages. Now there were great minds supposedly in both management, and
field support in this industry, but look what happened.
There is room for improvement in all facets of life/business/hobbies, I
guess, but we should never settle for complaciency. I am sure it is easy to point
blame for any thing that disrupts, or causes controversy, or is new..
Just hope all parties listen to each other, and proceed forward, in a
productive direction, and take all concerns into consideration.
To just blindly jump into a new technology or system/systems, is almost a
gaurantee for problems down the road. Look at NASA, and the space shuttle
program, where many great minds were working on cutting edge teghnologies, but one
party was not communicating with the other apparently. "We had previous,
almost total "O ring burn through", in previouus flights, but we see no cause for
concern". Look what happened to the Challenger. Also, "we have evidence of
insulation breaking off the liquid fuel tank during ascention, and striking the
orbiter, but we see no cause for alarm". Also, the air force offered the use
of their high power ground telescopes, to visually inspect Columbia, and any
possible damage, after video tapes showed large pieces of said insulation
striking the leading edge of one of the wings. NASA, said it was no concern to use
these telescopes. Look what happened to the Columbia, and crew.
Anyway, I am getting off subject, and I just say to everyone, step back,
digest the situation, and concerns of all, then proceed carefully, and
productively in a forward direction.
What did he just say?
Enjoy our great hobby, and think spring.
